This work of art by Edward Henry Berge could be acquired at Christies in New York in November 2007 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Important American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture auction, the work 'Duck Mother' changed hands for USD 23,750.00 (€ 16,169.66) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Other works by Edward Henry Berge have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in March 2006 by the work 'Wildflower' at USD 36,000.00 (€ 29,656.48).
