Wild Flower was modeled in three sizes: life-size (1909, such as the present work), medium (1916) and small (1923). Another life-size cast was displayed at the Palace of Fine Arts during the 1915 Pan Pacific International Exposition, San Francisco, California, where it was awarded a bronze medal.

Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Wild Flower by Edward Henry Berge was auctioned at Christies in New York in November 2017. The price achieved of USD 15,000.00 (€ 12,607.16) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Edward Henry Berge - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work 'Wildflower', which sold at auction in March 2006 for USD 36,000.00 (€ 29,656.48).

Die Arbeit Wild Flower von Edward Henry Berge kam im November 2017 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 15.000,00 (€ 12.607,16) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Edward Henry Berge mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit 'Wildflower' beobachtet, die im März 2006 für USD 36.000,00 (€ 29.656,48) versteigert wurde.
