Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Ed Clark could be acquired at Phillips in New York in July 2020 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Editions & Works on Paper auction, the work Untitled changed hands for USD 1,875.00 (€ 1,592.49) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ed Clark achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Made in Manhattan in March 2021 with an auction result of USD 746,000.00 (€ 635,272.08).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ed Clark konnte im Juli 2020 bei Phillips in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Editions & Works on Paper wechselte die Arbeit Untitled für USD 1.875,00 (€ 1.592,49) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ed Clark erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Made in Manhattan im März 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 746.000,00 (€ 635.272,08).
