Upper estimate price exceeded by 59 %.
In April 2003 Christies in New York held the auction Nineteenth and Twentieth Century Prints, which included the work The Katunes by Dr. Atl. The »bidding war« ended at USD 7,170.00 (€ 5,838.76), 59% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Dr. Atl achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Mañana Luminosa in November 2012 with an auction result of USD 1,650,500.00 (€ 1,268,639.51).
