Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Vista Aérea Del Popocatépetl by Dr. Atl was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in May 2013. The price achieved of USD 773,000.00 (€ 595,164.77) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 700,000.00 – 900,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Dr. Atl - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Mañana Luminosa, which sold at auction in November 2012 for USD 1,650,500.00 (€ 1,268,639.51).

Die Arbeit Vista Aérea Del Popocatépetl von Dr. Atl kam im Mai 2013 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 773.000,00 (€ 595.164,77) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 700.000,00 – 900.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Dr. Atl mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Mañana Luminosa beobachtet, die im November 2012 für USD 1.650.500,00 (€ 1.268.639,51) versteigert wurde.
