This artwork by Douglas Huebler achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Milan in November 2007. In the Post War and Contemporary Art auction, the work Lloyd II sold for EUR 10,910.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Douglas Huebler have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Variable Piece #101 in September 2016 with an auction result of GBP 52,500.00 (€ 60,801.52).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 82 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Douglas Huebler erzielte im November 2007 bei Christies in Mailand einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Post War and Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Lloyd II für EUR 10.910,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 6.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Douglas Huebler auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Variable Piece #101 im September 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 52.500,00 (€ 60.801,52).
