In April this year China Guardian in Hong Kong held the auction Asian 20th Century and Contemporary Art, which included the work Dialogue In The Morning-Orchid (Painted In 2014) by Dong Shaw-Hwei. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 420,000.00 (€ 428,902.17), 50% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Dong Shaw-Hwei; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Pink Camellia In The Morning (Painted In 2014) sold at auction in April this year with the realized price of HKD 540,000.00 (€ 551,445.65).

Im April diesen Jahres führte China Guardian in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian 20th Century and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Dialogue In The Morning-Orchid (Painted In 2014) von Dong Shaw-Hwei zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 420.000,00 (€ 428.902,17) und damit 50% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Dong Shaw-Hwei; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Pink Camellia In The Morning (Painted In 2014) im April diesen Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 540.000,00 (€ 551.445,65).
