In October 2021 China Guardian held the auction Asian 20th Century and Contemporary Art, which included the work Peaceful Time - Phalaenopsis (Painted In 2018) by Dong Shaw-Hwei. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 264,000.00 (€ 29,366.34), 47% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Dong Shaw-Hwei achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pink Camellia In The Morning (Painted In 2014) in April this year with an auction result of HKD 540,000.00 (€ 551,445.65).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 47 % übertroffen
Im Oktober 2021 führte China Guardian die Auktion Asian 20th Century and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Peaceful Time - Phalaenopsis (Painted In 2018) von Dong Shaw-Hwei zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 264.000,00 (€ 29.366,34) und damit 47% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Dong Shaw-Hwei erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Pink Camellia In The Morning (Painted In 2014) im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 540.000,00 (€ 551.445,65).
