This artwork by Dong Shaw-Hwei achieved an unexpectedly high price at China Guardian in Hong Kong in April 2021. In the Asian 20th Century and Contemporary Art auction, the work Hydrangea (Painted In 2013) sold for HKD 236,000.00 (€ 25,267.50) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 120,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Dong Shaw-Hwei achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pink Camellia In The Morning (Painted In 2014) in April this year with an auction result of HKD 540,000.00 (€ 551,445.65).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 97 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Dong Shaw-Hwei erzielte im April 2021 bei China Guardian in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Asian 20th Century and Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Hydrangea (Painted In 2013) für HKD 236.000,00 (€ 25.267,50) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 120.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Dong Shaw-Hwei erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Pink Camellia In The Morning (Painted In 2014) im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 540.000,00 (€ 551.445,65).
