Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Lot 101199 by Donald Moffett was sold in the Contemporary Art Day Auction auction at Sothebys in New York in May 2010. It changed hands for a price of USD 18,750.00 (€ 15,158.86) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by Donald Moffett have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Gold / Passage in March 2017 with an auction result of USD 93,750.00 (€ 87,633.20).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Lot 101199 von Donald Moffett wurde im Mai 2010 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 18.750,00 (€ 15.158,86) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Donald Moffett auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Gold / Passage im März 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 93.750,00 (€ 87.633,20).
