Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Australian the Store At Hill End by Donald Stuart Leslie Friend was sold in the Important Australian Art auction at Sothebys in Melbourne in August 2008. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of AUD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00, the actual price achieved of AUD 13,200.00 (€ 7,705.47) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Donald Stuart Leslie Friend achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Australian Ayam2 Kesayangan: 1 A Miscellanea 1968-1978 in May 2007 with an auction result of AUD 336,000.00 (€ 206,600.16).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Australian the Store At Hill End von Donald Stuart Leslie Friend wurde im August 2008 in der Auktion Important Australian Art bei Sothebys in Melbourne versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von AUD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von AUD 13.200,00 (€ 7.705,47) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
