Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Battle of the Nude Men (B. 10) by Domenico Campagnola was auctioned at Christies in London in September 2007. The price achieved of GBP 1,625.00 (€ 2,330.13) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,200.00 – 1,800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Domenico Campagnola achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Christ in the house of Simon the Pharisee in January 2005 with an auction result of USD 144,000.00 (€ 110,353.28).
