Auction result well in line with expectations
The work God the Father Handing the Ten Commandments to Moses by Domenico Campagnola was auctioned at Sothebys in London in July last year. It changed hands for a price of GBP 17,640.00 (€ 21,065.29) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Admittedly, works by Domenico Campagnola have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Christ in the house of Simon the Pharisee in January 2005 with an auction result of USD 144,000.00 (€ 110,353.28).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit God the Father Handing the Ten Commandments to Moses von Domenico Campagnola kam im Juli letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 17.640,00 (€ 21.065,29) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 12.000,00 – 18.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Domenico Campagnola auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Christ in the house of Simon the Pharisee im Januar 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 144.000,00 (€ 110.353,28).
