Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2018 Phillips in New York held the auction Art for One Drop, which included the work Two works: (i) North Wall 5, Seoul Home, 260-10 Sungbook-Dong, Sungbook-Ku, Seoul, Korea; (ii) Small Korean House 3, 260-10 Sungbook-Dong, Sungbook-Ku, Seoul, Korea by Do-Ho Suh. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 55,000.00 (€ 47,324.04) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Do-Ho Suh achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Some/One in November 2012 with an auction result of USD 782,500.00 (€ 601,460.42).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2018 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Art for One Drop durch, in der auch die Arbeit Two works: (i) North Wall 5, Seoul Home, 260-10 Sungbook-Dong, Sungbook-Ku, Seoul, Korea; (ii) Small Korean House 3, 260-10 Sungbook-Dong, Sungbook-Ku, Seoul, Korea von Do-Ho Suh zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 55.000,00 (€ 47.324,04) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Do-Ho Suh erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Some/One im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 782.500,00 (€ 601.460,42).
