In the Old Master Paintings Part II auction, the work Shepherds And A Shepherdess Driving Cattle changed hands for USD 5,625.00 (€ 4,166.67) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Dirck van Bergen - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work An Italianate landscape with a shepherd and shepherdess sheltering under a tree with animals; and An Italianate landscape with a peasant family resting with cattle by a fountain, which sold at auction in July 2002 for GBP 8,225.00 (€ 13,119.19).
