This artwork by Dirck van Bergen achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Milan in November 2006. In the Old Master Pictures auction, the work Pastorale sold for EUR 5,580.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Dirck van Bergen - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work An Italianate landscape with a shepherd and shepherdess sheltering under a tree with animals; and An Italianate landscape with a peasant family resting with cattle by a fountain, which sold at auction in July 2002 for GBP 8,225.00 (€ 13,119.19).

In der Auktion Old Master Pictures wurde die Arbeit Pastorale für EUR 5.580,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 3.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Dirck van Bergen mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit An Italianate landscape with a shepherd and shepherdess sheltering under a tree with animals; and An Italianate landscape with a peasant family resting with cattle by a fountain beobachtet, die im Juli 2002 für GBP 8.225,00 (€ 13.119,19) versteigert wurde.
