Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2006 a collector was able to acquire the work Sheep resting in a wooded landscape and a shepherdess with her dog in front of a cottage by Dirck van Bergen for EUR 900.00. This price was achieved in the auction Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings at Christies in Amsterdam and was even below the estimate range of EUR 3,000.00 – 5,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Dirck van Bergen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work An Italianate landscape with a shepherd and shepherdess sheltering under a tree with animals; and An Italianate landscape with a peasant family resting with cattle by a fountain in July 2002 with an auction result of GBP 8,225.00 (€ 13,119.19).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September 2006 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Sheep resting in a wooded landscape and a shepherdess with her dog in front of a cottage von Dirck van Bergen für EUR 900,00 erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings bei Christies in Amsterdam erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Dirck van Bergen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit An Italianate landscape with a shepherd and shepherdess sheltering under a tree with animals; and An Italianate landscape with a peasant family resting with cattle by a fountain im Juli 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 8.225,00 (€ 13.119,19).
