Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2005 Christies in London held the auction Old Master Pictures, which included the work A rustic by a barn with his donkey and other animals by Dirck van Bergen. It changed hands for a price of GBP 4,800.00 (€ 7,104.70) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Other works by Dirck van Bergen have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in July 2002 the work An Italianate landscape with a shepherd and shepherdess sheltering under a tree with animals; and An Italianate landscape with a peasant family resting with cattle by a fountain was auctioned for GBP 8,225.00 (€ 13,119.19).

Im April 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit A rustic by a barn with his donkey and other animals von Dirck van Bergen zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 4.800,00 (€ 7.104,70) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Dirck van Bergen konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Juli 2002 die Arbeit An Italianate landscape with a shepherd and shepherdess sheltering under a tree with animals; and An Italianate landscape with a peasant family resting with cattle by a fountain für GBP 8.225,00 (€ 13.119,19) versteigert.
