In December 2014 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction The I.Q. van Regteren Altena Collection Part II. Dutch and Flemish Drawings from 1500-1900, which included the work Cattle And Peasants By A Stream by Dirck van Bergen. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 1,500.00 25% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Dirck van Bergen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work An Italianate landscape with a shepherd and shepherdess sheltering under a tree with animals; and An Italianate landscape with a peasant family resting with cattle by a fountain in July 2002 with an auction result of GBP 8,225.00 (€ 13,119.19).

Im Dezember 2014 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion The I.Q. van Regteren Altena Collection Part II. Dutch and Flemish Drawings from 1500-1900 durch, in der auch die Arbeit Cattle And Peasants By A Stream von Dirck van Bergen zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 1.500,00 und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Dirck van Bergen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit An Italianate landscape with a shepherd and shepherdess sheltering under a tree with animals; and An Italianate landscape with a peasant family resting with cattle by a fountain im Juli 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 8.225,00 (€ 13.119,19).
