Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Ding Yi achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in May 2018. In the Contemporary Art Asia: New York Edition auction, the work Appearance of Crosses 95-B65 sold for USD 35,000.00 (€ 29,991.43) - well above the upper estimate of USD 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ding Yi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Appearance Of Crosses 90-6 in April 2011 with an auction result of HKD 17,460,000.00 (€ 1,517,338.91).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ding Yi erzielte im Mai 2018 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Asia: New York Edition wurde die Arbeit Appearance of Crosses 95-B65 für USD 35.000,00 (€ 29.991,43) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 12.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ding Yi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Appearance Of Crosses 90-6 im April 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 17.460.000,00 (€ 1.517.338,91).
