Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Ding Yi achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2021. In the Contemporary Art Day Sale auction, the work Appearance of Crosses 2002-12 sold for HKD 3,024,000.00 (€ 336,378.12) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 1,500,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ding Yi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Appearance Of Crosses 90-6 in April 2011 with an auction result of HKD 17,460,000.00 (€ 1,517,338.91).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ding Yi erzielte im Oktober 2021 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Sale wurde die Arbeit Appearance of Crosses 2002-12 für HKD 3.024.000,00 (€ 336.378,12) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 1.500.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ding Yi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Appearance Of Crosses 90-6 im April 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 17.460.000,00 (€ 1.517.338,91).
