Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Appearance Of Crosses 07-9 by Ding Yi was sold in the Contemporary Asian Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2014. It achieved a price of HKD 2,440,000.00 (€ 251,205.11), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 22%. Admittedly, works by Ding Yi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Appearance Of Crosses 90-6 in April 2011 with an auction result of HKD 17,460,000.00 (€ 1,517,338.91).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Appearance Of Crosses 07-9 von Ding Yi wurde im Oktober 2014 in der Auktion Contemporary Asian Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 2.440.000,00 (€ 251.205,11) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 22%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ding Yi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Appearance Of Crosses 90-6 im April 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 17.460.000,00 (€ 1.517.338,91).
