Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Cerca Muralla from Te Dí Todos Mis Sueños by Désirée Dolron was auctioned at Phillips in London in September 2020, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 7,500.00 (€ 8,269.97). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Désirée Dolron achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Xteriors VI in April 2011 with an auction result of USD 194,500.00 (€ 131,232.71).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Cerca Muralla from Te Dí Todos Mis Sueños von Désirée Dolron im September 2020 bei Phillips in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 7.500,00 (€ 8.269,97) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Désirée Dolron erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Xteriors VI im April 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 194.500,00 (€ 131.232,71).
