Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2021 Sothebys in London held the auction 50 Masterworks to Celebrate 50 Years of Sotheby’s Photographs, which included the work 'Xteriors V', 2001-2010 by Désirée Dolron. The price achieved of GBP 37,800.00 (€ 43,481.00) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Désirée Dolron - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Xteriors VI, which sold at auction in April 2011 for USD 194,500.00 (€ 131,232.71).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2021 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion 50 Masterworks to Celebrate 50 Years of Sotheby’s Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit 'Xteriors V', 2001-2010 von Désirée Dolron zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 37.800,00 (€ 43.481,00) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Désirée Dolron mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Xteriors VI beobachtet, die im April 2011 für USD 194.500,00 (€ 131.232,71) versteigert wurde.
