Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2006 Christies in London held the auction British, Continental and Russian Pictures, which included the work Figures before the Duke of York Monument, London by Denys George Wells. The price achieved of GBP 540.00 (€ 801.43) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 400.00 – 600.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Denys George Wells achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nursery Tea in July 2007 with an auction result of GBP 9,000.00 (€ 13,367.08).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2006 führte Christies in London die Auktion British, Continental and Russian Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Figures before the Duke of York Monument, London von Denys George Wells zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 540,00 (€ 801,43) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 400,00 – 600,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Denys George Wells erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Nursery Tea im Juli 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 9.000,00 (€ 13.367,08).
