Auction result well in line with expectations

The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 3,360.00 (€ 4,990.38) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Denys George Wells - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Nursery Tea, which sold at auction in July 2007 for GBP 9,000.00 (€ 13,367.08).

Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 3.360,00 (€ 4.990,38) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
