A top price for Denys George Wells - as previously expected
In July 2007 Sothebys in London held the auction Victorian & Edwardian Art, which included the work Nursery Tea by Denys George Wells. The price achieved of GBP 9,000.00 (€ 13,367.08) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Nursery Tea is the most expensive artwork by Denys George Wells that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im Juli 2007 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Victorian & Edwardian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Nursery Tea von Denys George Wells zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 9.000,00 (€ 13.367,08) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 7.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Nursery Tea das teuerste Kunstwerk von Denys George Wells, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
