Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2008 a collector was able to acquire the work Still life with Chinese porcelain plate; and Still life with oriental figurine by Denys George Wells for GBP 750.00 (€ 787.72). This price was achieved in the auction Christie's Interiors at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Denys George Wells achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nursery Tea in July 2007 with an auction result of GBP 9,000.00 (€ 13,367.08).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2008 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Still life with Chinese porcelain plate; and Still life with oriental figurine von Denys George Wells für GBP 750,00 (€ 787,72) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Christie's Interiors bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Denys George Wells erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Nursery Tea im Juli 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 9.000,00 (€ 13.367,08).
