Auction result misses estimated price range
In July 2007 a collector was able to acquire the work Still Life With Three Porcelain Figures On A Red Floral Table Cloth by Denys George Wells for GBP 3,840.00 (€ 5,703.29). This price was achieved in the auction Victorian & Edwardian Art at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Denys George Wells - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Nursery Tea, which sold at auction in July 2007 for GBP 9,000.00 (€ 13,367.08).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juli 2007 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Still Life With Three Porcelain Figures On A Red Floral Table Cloth von Denys George Wells für GBP 3.840,00 (€ 5.703,29) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Victorian & Edwardian Art bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Denys George Wells mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Nursery Tea beobachtet, die im Juli 2007 für GBP 9.000,00 (€ 13.367,08) versteigert wurde.
