Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Denys George Wells could be acquired at Christies in London in October 2008 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Christie's Interiors auction, the work A Chinese symphony; and Reflections changed hands for GBP 500.00 (€ 637.32) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 600.00 – 800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Denys George Wells achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nursery Tea in July 2007 with an auction result of GBP 9,000.00 (€ 13,367.08).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Denys George Wells konnte im Oktober 2008 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Christie's Interiors wechselte die Arbeit A Chinese symphony; and Reflections für GBP 500,00 (€ 637,32) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 600,00 – 800,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Denys George Wells erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Nursery Tea im Juli 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 9.000,00 (€ 13.367,08).
