Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Dennis Hopper could be acquired at Bonhams in New York in October 2021 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Photographs auction, the work London (Painted Window) changed hands for USD 1,912.50 (€ 1,655.56) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Dennis Hopper achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Andy Warhol (With Flower), 1963/2006 in November 2012 with an auction result of USD 206,500.00 (€ 158,724.06).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Dennis Hopper konnte im Oktober 2021 bei Bonhams in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Photographs wechselte die Arbeit London (Painted Window) für USD 1.912,50 (€ 1.655,56) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Dennis Hopper erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Andy Warhol (With Flower), 1963/2006 im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 206.500,00 (€ 158.724,06).
