Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Patricia Hearst A thru Z by Dennis Adams was auctioned at Phillips in New York in May 2009, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 6,250.00 (€ 4,424.47). Other works by Dennis Adams have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in March 2014 by the work Patricia Hearst A thru Z at USD 9,375.00 (€ 6,804.82).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Patricia Hearst A thru Z von Dennis Adams im Mai 2009 bei Phillips in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 6.250,00 (€ 4.424,47) den Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Dennis Adams wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im März 2014 die Arbeit Patricia Hearst A thru Z mit USD 9.375,00 (€ 6.804,82).
