Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2020 Sothebys in London held the auction Modern & Post-War British Art, which included the work Zagcone by Denis Mitchell. The price achieved of GBP 13,860.00 (€ 15,472.44) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Admittedly, works by Denis Mitchell have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Botallack in November 2016 with an auction result of GBP 75,000.00 (€ 88,492.63).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2020 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Modern & Post-War British Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Zagcone von Denis Mitchell zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 13.860,00 (€ 15.472,44) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Denis Mitchell auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Botallack im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 75.000,00 (€ 88.492,63).
