Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Clodgy by Denis Mitchell was sold in the Modern British & Irish Art auction at Bonhams in London in June this year. It achieved a price of GBP 23,040.00 (€ 26,814.59), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 15%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Denis Mitchell - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Botallack, which sold at auction in November 2016 for GBP 75,000.00 (€ 88,492.63).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Clodgy von Denis Mitchell wurde im Juni diesen Jahres in der Auktion Modern British & Irish Art bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 23.040,00 (€ 26.814,59) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 15%. Für andere Arbeiten von Denis Mitchell mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Botallack beobachtet, die im November 2016 für GBP 75.000,00 (€ 88.492,63) versteigert wurde.
