In November 2020 Sothebys in London held the auction Modern & Post-War British Art, which included the work Leda by Denis Mitchell. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 40,320.00 (€ 45,010.73), 61% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Denis Mitchell; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Botallack sold at auction in November 2016 with the realized price of GBP 75,000.00 (€ 88,492.63).

Im November 2020 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Modern & Post-War British Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Leda von Denis Mitchell zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 40.320,00 (€ 45.010,73) und damit 61% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Denis Mitchell; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Botallack im November 2016 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 75.000,00 (€ 88.492,63).
