Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Cerrito by Denis Mitchell was sold in the Modern British and Irish Art auction at Bonhams in London in June last year. The price achieved of GBP 10,837.50 (€ 12,590.09) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Denis Mitchell have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Botallack in November 2016 with an auction result of GBP 75,000.00 (€ 88,492.63).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Cerrito von Denis Mitchell wurde im Juni letzten Jahres in der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 10.837,50 (€ 12.590,09) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Denis Mitchell auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Botallack im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 75.000,00 (€ 88.492,63).
