This artwork by Denis Mitchell achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in November 2021. In the Modern British Art auction, the work Carah sold for GBP 8,820.00 (€ 10,355.51) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Denis Mitchell have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Botallack in November 2016 with an auction result of GBP 75,000.00 (€ 88,492.63).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Denis Mitchell erzielte im November 2021 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern British Art wurde die Arbeit Carah für GBP 8.820,00 (€ 10.355,51) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 5.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Denis Mitchell auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Botallack im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 75.000,00 (€ 88.492,63).
