The work Mullion by Denis Mitchell was sold in the Dialogues: Modern and Contemporary Art auction at Christies in London in July 2020. The auction ended at the price of GBP 30,000.00 (€ 33,462.71), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Denis Mitchell - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Botallack, which sold at auction in November 2016 for GBP 75,000.00 (€ 88,492.63).

Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 30.000,00 (€ 33.462,71) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Denis Mitchell mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Botallack beobachtet, die im November 2016 für GBP 75.000,00 (€ 88.492,63) versteigert wurde.
