Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Denis Mitchell achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in November 2020. In the Modern & Post-War British Art auction, the work Landscape Form sold for GBP 40,320.00 (€ 45,010.73) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 18,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Denis Mitchell; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Botallack sold at auction in November 2016 with the realized price of GBP 75,000.00 (€ 88,492.63).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Denis Mitchell erzielte im November 2020 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern & Post-War British Art wurde die Arbeit Landscape Form für GBP 40.320,00 (€ 45.010,73) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 18.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Denis Mitchell; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Botallack im November 2016 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 75.000,00 (€ 88.492,63).
