Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2003 Christies in London held the auction Photographs, which included the work Draped interior from Unseen in Versailles by Deborah Turbeville. The price achieved of GBP 1,195.00 (€ 1,664.94) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Deborah Turbeville - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work 'Versailles: Seventeen Images', which sold at auction in October 2017 for USD 6,875.00 (€ 5,902.30).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2003 führte Christies in London die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Draped interior from Unseen in Versailles von Deborah Turbeville zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.195,00 (€ 1.664,94) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Deborah Turbeville mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit 'Versailles: Seventeen Images' beobachtet, die im Oktober 2017 für USD 6.875,00 (€ 5.902,30) versteigert wurde.
