In March 2021 Christies in New York held the auction Post-War to Present, which included the work Small Dry Fork Horse by Deborah Butterfield. The »bidding war« ended at USD 62,500.00 (€ 53,223.20), 25% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Deborah Butterfield have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Setsuko in November 2016 with an auction result of USD 468,500.00 (€ 442,900.36).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Im März 2021 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Post-War to Present durch, in der auch die Arbeit Small Dry Fork Horse von Deborah Butterfield zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 62.500,00 (€ 53.223,20) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Deborah Butterfield auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Setsuko im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 468.500,00 (€ 442.900,36).
