Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Horse by Deborah Butterfield was sold in the Contemporary Discoveries auction at Sothebys in New York in March last year. The price achieved of USD 30,240.00 (€ 27,260.43) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Deborah Butterfield achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Setsuko in November 2016 with an auction result of USD 468,500.00 (€ 442,900.36).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Horse von Deborah Butterfield wurde im März letzten Jahres in der Auktion Contemporary Discoveries bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 30.240,00 (€ 27.260,43) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Deborah Butterfield erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Setsuko im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 468.500,00 (€ 442.900,36).
