The »bidding war« ended at USD 69,850.00 (€ 64,035.57), 16% above the upper estimate. Other works by De Wain Valentine have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of USD 101,175.00 (€ 95,430.11) in February this year for the work Concave Crystal, 1986.
