Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Dawn Mellor could be acquired at Phillips in London in October 2013 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Art Day Sale auction, the work The Wake Up Call (Judy Garland) changed hands for GBP 2,500.00 (€ 2,954.98) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Dawn Mellor - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work 4Am & Loaded, which sold at auction in October 2007 for GBP 6,000.00 (€ 8,616.39).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Dawn Mellor konnte im Oktober 2013 bei Phillips in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Sale wechselte die Arbeit The Wake Up Call (Judy Garland) für GBP 2.500,00 (€ 2.954,98) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Dawn Mellor mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit 4Am & Loaded beobachtet, die im Oktober 2007 für GBP 6.000,00 (€ 8.616,39) versteigert wurde.
