Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Juliette Binoche. by Dawn Mellor was auctioned at VAN HAM in Cologne in June 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 2,064.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Dawn Mellor have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work 4Am & Loaded in October 2007 with an auction result of GBP 6,000.00 (€ 8,616.39).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Juliette Binoche. von Dawn Mellor kam im Juni 2021 bei VAN HAM in Köln zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 2.064,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Dawn Mellor auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit 4Am & Loaded im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 6.000,00 (€ 8.616,39).
