Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Catherine Deneuve by Dawn Mellor was auctioned at Phillips in New York in March 2012. The price achieved of USD 4,750.00 (€ 3,562.32) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Dawn Mellor - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work 4Am & Loaded, which sold at auction in October 2007 for GBP 6,000.00 (€ 8,616.39).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Catherine Deneuve von Dawn Mellor kam im März 2012 bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 4.750,00 (€ 3.562,32) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Dawn Mellor mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit 4Am & Loaded beobachtet, die im Oktober 2007 für GBP 6.000,00 (€ 8.616,39) versteigert wurde.
