Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Catherine Deneuve by Dawn Mellor was auctioned at Phillips in New York in March 2012. The price achieved of USD 4,750.00 (€ 3,562.32) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Dawn Mellor - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work 4Am & Loaded, which sold at auction in October 2007 for GBP 6,000.00 (€ 8,616.39).
