Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Purple One) by Davis Rhodes was sold in the Under the Influence auction at Phillips in New York in September 2014. The price achieved of USD 3,750.00 (€ 2,969.59) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Davis Rhodes - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in October 2015 for GBP 5,000.00 (€ 6,993.75).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Purple One) von Davis Rhodes wurde im September 2014 in der Auktion Under the Influence bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 3.750,00 (€ 2.969,59) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Davis Rhodes mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im Oktober 2015 für GBP 5.000,00 (€ 6.993,75) versteigert wurde.
