Upper estimate price exceeded by 28 %.
In July this year Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction Modern British and Irish Art, which included the work Gorilla III by David Wynne. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 3,200.00 (€ 3,733.43), 28% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David Wynne achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Boy with a Dolphin in March 2017 with an auction result of GBP 353,000.00 (€ 413,681.16).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 28 % übertroffen
Im Juli diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion Modern British and Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Gorilla III von David Wynne zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 3.200,00 (€ 3.733,43) und damit 28% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von David Wynne erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Boy with a Dolphin im März 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 353.000,00 (€ 413.681,16).
