signed, titled, dated and numbered 'DAVID/WYNNE/1997/2/3A' (to back right edge of base of sculpture), stamped with hallmarks for Meiling & Gartrell, London, 1997 (to back left edge of base of sculpture), also inscribed 'BLACK RHINOCEROS/DICEROS BICORNIS/Made in the Namibian Desert, after the sculptor/was charged by this animal./DAVID WYNNE Sculptor, 1997' (on plaque affixed to base)
