A top price for David Wynne
When the work Boy with a Dolphin by David Wynne was auctioned at Christies in London in March 2017, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The upper estimate was set at a - in retrospect quite modest - GBP 50,000.00 but the actual price achieved was more than seven times as high at GBP 353,000.00 (€ 413,681.16). This high result makes Boy with a Dolphin the most expensive artwork by David Wynne that we have observed at auctions so far.
